Halls accommodation is not guaranteed, however, we promise to help you secure accommodation either on campus or with an off-campus provider.

Most hall accommodation is single occupancy - if you would like to bring your partner or family, we also have one and two bedroom flats in New Ashby Court - close to the Engineering departments and Library. For more information, please visit our accommodation website.

Off-campus accommodation

If you would prefer to live off-campus, in private accommodation, the Student Accommodation Centre advertises accommodation for private landlords on Studentpad.

Most private sector accommodation in Loughborough is within a two mile radius of the campus – well within walking distance. There is also a local bus service, which runs frequently between the campus and train station via the town centre.

There is a large variation of rents in the private sector reflecting location, size, condition and style of fixtures and fittings. The following is a guide to assist you when choosing your accommodation.

  • a good choice of University-approved private accommodation

You may want to come to Loughborough a couple of weeks before your course begins so that you can look for accommodation. Most landlords prefer the accommodation to be viewed prior to offering a tenancy.
