Advanced Systems

MSc 1 year full-time; 3 years part-time (typical)

This course is designed specifically to meet the changing needs of UK industry. While it may still be appropriate for engineers to specialise in one discipline, they need to be able to operate in and develop the bigger system. The course is aimed primarily at engineers in industry to develop and broaden their existing capability. It is designed to provide:

Compulsory Modules

Plus 4 Optional Modules from a Management Stream and an Engineering Stream

Assessment

Coursework and examination.

Entry Qualification

Honours degree in systems engineering or related area, or 5 years equivalent industrial experience.

These are in addition to the General Entrance Requirements.

Careers and Further Study

The programme is in response to the defence and non-defence sector’s demand for Systems Engineers.

Scholarships and Sponsorships

BAE Systems and dstl currently sponsor students. The department is constantly reviewing its scholarships and bursaries. In addition there are also separate scholarships available from Loughborough University. For specific details on current offers please get in touch with the program contact.
