  1. Why can't I view a particular publication through the Publications Maintenance screen?

    As a data administrator or Head of Department, you should only be able to view publications entered by your own department. It may be that while an academic in your department has authored a particular publication, they are not the lead author. The responsibility for entering a publication lies with the department of the lead author.

    You will, however, be able to view such publications via the academic's home-page if the central search facility is used to populate the Publications List, or by running an appropriate Publications report.

  2. Why is my publication missing from the Publications List on my home-page?

    You need to be sure that your home-page is using the central Publications Search facility (wr0013). If it is not, you need to contact the person in your department responsible for maintaining your departmental web pages.

    If your homepage is using this facility, check with your data administrator to ensure that the publication has been entered into the Publications Database. If it has and you still cannot see it, contact the IT Service Desk, citing the title of the publication, year of publication and information on the author(s).

  3. How do I delete a duplicate publication?

    If you are the creating department (i.e., you entered it into the system in the first place), you can delete it via the Publications Maintenance screen (FM2217). Otherwise, you need to contact the relevant department and ask them to delete the duplicate.
