Charged Printing Service

Windows: Access IT Services Printers

Important Note: If you are going to print from Off Campus, you need to Install the VPN client and have it running - see Windows VPN Client Connect.

Follow these instructions to configure the charged print / copy / scan devices Student-Mono and Student-Colour [for staff: Staff-Mono and Staff-Colour] on your computer. You can send the print job from anywhere, and collect your work from any of our 'Follow Me' printers.

These instructions assume you are connected to wireless (eduroam), hallnet, or via your home connection with VPN connected.

  1. Click on the Start button.

  2. Vista / Windows 7 - In the Search Programs and Files box type in Run and press enter.

    Windows XP - Click on Run

  3. In the box that comes up type \\printers.lboro.ac.uk then click OK.

  4. When prompted for your login/password please type like the following:

    Login : lunet\your username

    Password : your password

  5. Then click OK to proceed.

  6. You will be presented with a list of printers, double click on student-mono [staff-mono for members of staff] and wait for it to install. You will be asked if you trust the driver, click on Yes/OK. When the student-mono install has finished, double click on student-colour [staff-colour for staff] to install the follow-me colour printer.

  7. You can use the printers as normal from the software applications you are using.
