Off-campus Access
Users who wish to access machines remotely will need to install Cisco AnyConnect on their off-campus Linux machine.
Cisco AnyConnect Installation Instructions for Linux
These instructions are based on CentOS. Minor changes to the process may be required for other distributions or desktop environments.
Instructions:

Download the installer to your desktop:

Right click on the downloaded file and select Extract Here from the menu.

This will create a folder starting with anyconnect on your desktop.

Open the Terminal application, under System Tools on CentOS Linux.

Type the following into the terminal to install the client:
cd Desktop/anyconnect-*/vpn

on Ubuntu, or other distributions with sudo:
sudo ./vpn_install.sh
Type your password -
on other distributions:
su -c './vpn_install.sh'
Type the "root" user's password
You will be asked to accept the license agreement during the install.
Type exit to close the terminal window.

Delete the downloaded and extracted files from your desktop as they are no longer needed.

The client is now installed on your system.
