Loughborough wins ‘Facilities’ category at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2024

The University is delighted to announce it has won the ‘Facilities’ category at the 2024 Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs).

The awards ceremony took place earlier this week (24 April 2024) at The Brewery in London.

The annual awards celebrate the incredible work carried out by higher education institutions across the UK and are the leading higher education awards ceremony based solely on student reviews.

The reviews give prospective students access to honest, unbiased information when making decisions about what and where they would like to study.

Thanks to the reviews provided by Loughborough students, the University was shortlisted in four categories this year and took the trophy for best facilities.

One Loughborough student said: “I love the campus environment and being surrounded by a wealth of activities and opportunities at all times right on my doorstep.”

Another said: “The sports facilities are amazing and the campus has lots of beautiful places to study.”

Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect says: “This year’s WUSCAs are a celebration of the extraordinary efforts that institutions put into making student experiences exceptional. I’m honoured to work in the higher education sector and delighted to see significant increases in student satisfaction for both domestic and international students, despite some of the negative press coverage we’ve seen lately.

“I encourage the sector to share this remarkable success with their institutions, prospective students, and stakeholders to help strengthen confidence in the higher education student experience. Thank you to all institutions that participated in WUSCAs 2024 for believing in the power and importance of the student voice and huge congratulations to all this year’s winners.
