Background Information:
Born in Crediton, Devon, Nick attended Loughborough University and gained a Joint Honours BSc in PE, Sports Science and Geography before becoming a PE and Geography teacher in a local partnership school.
Following a secondary school teaching career of twenty-three years, where he held posts of responsibility including Head of Department, Head of Year, ITT Mentor and ITT Co-ordinator, Nick was appointed to the School of Sport and Exercise Sciences as a University Teacher of Physical Education in September 2002.
Nick completed an MSc in Physical Education in 2006 and has led undergraduate modules in Analysis and Performance of Sport (Year 1 and 2 Soccer and Year 2 Rugby) and Applied Sports Science (Year 3 Rugby), as well as professional induction lectures on the PGCE programme.
Nick has responsibility for co-ordinating the teaching of all practical activities on the PGCE PE course in addition to the recruitment and selection of all trainees onto the PGCE PE course.
