MSc Research Studies: Nanoscience

 

A one-year programme offering an opportunity to carry out research on nanoscience and to obtain a Master's Degree by research studies. 

The Compulsory modules are:

  • PHP170 Current Literature
  • PHP181 Theoretical Research Skills or PHP180 Experimental Research Skills
  • PHP381 Theoretical Research Project or PHP380 Experimental Research Project (Contributes 50% of MSc)
    Working under the supervision of an experienced researcher for a total time of six months on a research project related to Nanoscience

  • PHD204 Superconductivity & Colossal Magnetoresistance Materials
  • PHD101 Internet and other complex networks in nature and science
  • PHP105 Quantum Phenomena
  • MPP353 Electronic Materials
  • MPP242 Microscopy
  • HUP128 Preparation and Analysis of Data
  • MPP134 Surface Analysis
  • MPP332 Metallic Materials
  • CMP037 Molecular Spectroscopy
  • CMP038 Atomic Spectroscopy
  • CMP041 Materials Analysis
  • HUP127 Acquisition of Data


    Other modules on for example Cosmology or Psychophysics are available by negotiation.
