Fees and studentships

Fees
The fees for postgraduate research students are set annually by the University. The amount payable is dependent on your fee status (whether you are a UK/EU student or an International student).
Studentships
EPSRC and University Research Studentships, tenable for three years, are available to support postgraduate research leading to the degree of PhD. For all studentships, UK students are eligible to receive both fees and a maintenance grant. EPSRC studentships are open to all EU citizens; the maintenance grant provided by EPSRC studentships is currently £13,590 per annum (tax free). University studentships provide a maintenance grant and fees at the rate applicable to EU citizens. Please note that overseas student are charged fees at a higher rate.
Eligibility: The conditions of eligibility for EPSRC studentships are available at the EPSRC web site. University studentships are open to all but provide fees only at the EU student rate.
