Departmental Admissions Procedure

The University application form for taught postgraduate programmes can be obtained either by post from the Department of Politics, History and International Relations Admissions Secretary Audrey Pridmore (address below) or by downloading an application form from the University. From this webpage, you can either download the form and submit it by post or fax to:

The Postgraduate Office,
Loughborough University,
Loughborough
LE11 3TU

or apply online.

Your academic contact Dr Rob Dover (R.M.Dover@lboro.ac.uk).

Our entry requirements are a good honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant social science discipline (e.g. Politics, International Relations, European Studies and related fields).

All applications are dealt with quickly if they are accompanied by confidential references from two academic referees, contained in sealed envelopes, signed across the seal and covered by transparent tape. In this case you can expect to receive acknowledgement of your application within two weeks of the Postgraduate Office receiving it.  In the Department, we aim to respond to enquiries within a week at the most.  Before formulating your enquiry, please read the Departmental webpages and the University’s general website for postgraduates

The closing date for the receipt of applications for study in 2010-11 is
10th September, 2010. Applicants with qualifications from countries other than the UK should apply as early as possible in the calendar year of entry to ensure that your application, including immigration formalities, can be completed by this closing date.
