Postgraduate research programmes (MPhil and PhD)

The Department has a strong research school with typically 10 postdoctoral fellows and assistants, and 70 research students/assistants. Much of the current research is supported by Research Councils, Government Departments, Charitable Institutions and Industrial Companies. There are four main areas of research activity: analytical chemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic and biomedical chemistry, and physical chemistry. Applications from good honours candidates are encouraged.
